The newest Award is "God & Country Award Program".  Here's a little bit about it:

God and Me
The God and Country program offers another award that Royal Rangers can earn besides those in Ranger Kids. The first step in the God and Country program is the God and Me Award. The boy learns the story of his life and Jesus' life. He learns how God puts the two stories together. When the God and Me Student Workbook has been completed, the boy will receive a medal.

The first step in the God and Country Award Program is the God and Me Award. It is promoted by such groups as the Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Campfire organizations, and it teaches and encourages the boy's understanding of how we are made, why and what your relationship with God should be. Awards are earned by successful completion of assignments in the God and Me Student Workbook. The workbook contains three sections of work, each with a project for the boys to complete.

Eligibility Guidelines
Children in grades 1, 2 & 3 are eligible to participate in God and Me. Each participant must have his own copy of the Student Workbook.

1. God Created Me
The student will study the creation story and learn that God was pleased with all creation. They will acknowledge God as Creator and give praise to God.

2. Jesus is God's Gift to Me
The student will learn of God's love through Jesus. As they tell parallel stories of their own birth and the birth of Jesus, they will proclaim that Jesus was born to be their Savior.

3. I Can Talk with God
The student will learn how important prayer was to Jesus and that God wants them to pray. They will learn four parts of prayer to help them share their thoughts with God. Children will be required to memorize the Lord's Prayer.

4. Because God Cares for Me
As the student learns to lean on God as their Good Shepherd, they will be challenged to reach out and be “good shepherds” to those around them.

If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:

       1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

       2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"  (John 3:16).

   3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

If you would like someone to pray with you about your decision to know Jesus as your personal Savior, talk with your Royal Ranger commander, your pastor, or call: 1-800-4PRAYER, the National Prayer Center.
